Lady Chucks soccer reflect back on their season
October 30, 2019
The Lady Chucks soccer team wrapped up their season on Thursday, October 17th against Clarion.
Megan Sherry has been on the team for two years, and she’s one of two seniors on the team, along with Madysen Ewing. Sherry said that she’s proud of the perseverance this year’s team showed.
Sherry said that everyone did a great job of maintaining a positive attitude, even when they were struggling with not having enough players to compete in some of their games.
“I’d say that I’m just so proud of the effort and determination that us girls showed,” Sherry said.
She also mentioned that the team made great improvements in their scoring this year. They scored more goals this year than the number of goals scored the previous year.
Sherry said the team’s bond helped to motivate the players through the season, and everyone did their best to lift each other up.
“In the end, we would come together and push each other through all the hardship. We stayed a team even when it was hard,” Sherry said.
Although the season is over, Sherry left a piece of advice to those considering joining the team in the future.
“I really encourage playing soccer. It is so much fun and being on a team is the best. My advice is to stick together when the going gets tough. Be with each other through thick and thin, and don’t give up no matter how bad,” Sherry said.
Throughout the entire season, the Lady Chucks made great improvements on the field and created a bond that will be sure to continue.
