PAHS to host Financial Aid Presentation and College Fair

Every year, PAHS hosts our local College Fair and Financial Aid Presentation.

The fun begins with the Financial Aid Presentation. This presentation will show attendees how to complete and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. There will also be information on how to apply for scholarships, and a Q&A section at the end.

At the College Fair portion, there will be representatives from colleges such as IUP, Seton Hill, Robert Morris, Clarion, Juniata, and many more. These representatives can answer any questions, set up campus visits, talk about majors and how they can relate to their respective career paths, and provide handouts with information to learn more.

There will also be people representing various tech schools and the armed services. Attendees will be able to obtain information about the tech schools and armed services to see if they could be a good fit.

Although the college fair is generally attended by juniors and seniors, anyone can attend.

These events will be on October 16th. The Financial Aid Presentation will start at 6 in the auditorium. At 6:30, the College Fair will begin in the cafeteria. The Financial Aid Presentation and the College Fair are for anyone, even community members, to attend.

The Guidance Office is hoping to have a good turnout at these events so colleges are encouraged to continue to present their information.

Typically, the FIA representative leaves information packets with the guidance office. These packets will provide information that was presented at the Financial Aid Presentation. Some schools also usually leave a few information pamphlets. So, if anyone cannot attend, they can be picked up in Ms. Hand’s office.
